The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic around construction sites and other work zones. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to adapt, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Traffic Controller will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards while coordinating the activities of heavy equipment operators and construction personnel.ResponsibilitiesDirect traffic flow in and around construction sites to ensure safety for workers and the public.Communicate clearly with construction teams, heavy equipment operators, and pedestrians.Monitor site conditions and report any hazards or unsafe practices immediately.Operate a half ton or three-quarter ton company truck.Maintain clear signage and barriers to guide traffic safely around work zones.Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.QualificationsProven experience in traffic control or a related field is strongly preferred.Strong observational skills to identify potential safety risks on site.Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and the public.Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety regulations.A valid driver's license is required.Must have a clean driving record.Must be able to pass a drug test.Due to insurance requirements, must be 21 or over.Company Description Underground utilities construction Company Description Underground utilities construction
