Lead Wildland Firefighter (Helitack) - Direct Hire Authority

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

1. Leads three or more regularly assigned firefighters and may provide situational leadership for additional firefighters based on the fire assignment.
2. As an experienced leader within a wildland fire crew applies an understanding of firefighter safety, fire behavior, topography of the area, weather, fuels, and training in fire management work.
3. Plans, coordinates, and directs helicopter operations in support of mission requests.
4. Directs the operation and use of special tools and equipment and makes decisions as to when, where, and how equipment can be utilized to the greatest advantage.
5. Directs the readiness and assembly of helicopter support accessories and helicopter safety equipment.
