As an Unarmed Security Officer, you are an integral part of the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter-Con provides its clients every day./ph3Job Description/h3pPosition Summary:/pulliRemains alert and vigilant, observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned General Motors site, function or executive residence, providing for the security and safety of General Motors personnel./li/ululliMaintains focus and awareness while working in a stressful environment to preserve the professional ability to identify and locate potentially life-threatening situations and make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations. Must be able to operate in any stressful environments including noise from alarms, machinery and people; crowd distractions; time pressure, etc./li/ululliEngages in continuous development of critical thinking skills necessary to mitigate actual and potential threats by identifying, evaluating and applying appropriate situational options and approaches. This may include application of risk-based security assessments./li/ululliRetains and implements knowledge of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures. Demonstrates responsible and dependable behavior, is open to change and adapts to new information or unexpected obstacles./li/ululliCarries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner./li/ululliAssures compliance with applicable sections of General Motors Global Security Manual, as well as the supplier Standard Operating Procedures and Policy manual./liliPreserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors and premises./liliCommunicate in a manner that is open, honest and responsive in all situations, to the extent authorized./li/ululliPrepares logs and reports as required for site; writes or types reports or enters information in a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and takes action as required./li/ululliProtects evidence and/or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage and provides direction or information to others - as appropriate./li/ululliResponds to incidents commensurate level of training, including Use of Force./li/ululliCarries out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/pulliMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent./li/ulpTwo or more years of experience as either a:/polliSworn law enforcement officer./liliIn a military service occupation that required you to train in and carry firearms (e.g., military police, special forces, etc.).
