HERE What's this Job All About?
Case Managers provide one on one support to assess housing needs, connect individuals to community resources, and assist in securing permanent housing. This role focuses on serving people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, with an emphasis on the behavioral health population, including those with substance use challenges, using a Housing First approach. Responsibilities include meeting clients in the office, in the field, and in jail settings prior to release; developing service plans; tracking client outcomes and housing services in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), a secure HUD-required database used for statewide reporting; maintaining accurate records in the Coordinated Entry System (CES), the countywide prioritization and vulnerability tracking system for individuals accessing homeless services; and collaborating with community partners. The position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases and a dynamic schedule.

Qualifications Experience and Training Guidelines -any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: Four years’ experience working with the client population in either mental health or social services.
Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in mental health or social services.
License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid driver’s license.
Supplemental InformationThe salary range above consists of 15 steps. Steps 1-6 are annual merit steps with approximately 5% difference between each step, based on successful performance. Steps 7-15 are additional merit steps, requiring 2 years of satisfactory performance at the previous step. Steps 7-14 provide 2.5% increases, while Step 15 offers a 5% increase. The final salary offered will depend on the applicant's experience and qualifications, ranging from steps 1 to 15.Colusa County offers an excellent benefit package.
