The purpose of this position is to provide fire protection, fire safety and emergency medical care to the citizens of the City of Brandon, MS through on-the-scene fire suppression and extinguishment, rescue, emergency medical services, salvage and overhaul, exposure protection, ventilation, and general property conservation.

Requirements
Minimum Education
Education: High school diploma or GED
Vocational training in Fire Science, Fire Prevention, Suppression, administration, or closely related field
Experience (yrs.) Meet all requirements, rules, and regulations of the City of Brandon Fire Department.
Substitutions Allowed for Education None
Substitutions Allowed for Experience Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Certificates and Licenses Possession of valid state Firefighter Certificate within one (1) year of employment.
Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license.
