What you'll do
- Support and maintain City enterprise applications including capital project management, fleet management, and financial systems so City teams can do their jobs without disruption.
- Lead software updates, testing, and user training to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and easy to use.
- Manage user access and permissions to protect sensitive data while ensuring employees have the tools they need.
- Test new configurations and system updates to catch issues early and maintain high software quality.
- Create and maintain clear system documentation so applications are well-understood, supported, and sustainable over time.
- Resolve application issues through the enterprise ticketing system while working closely with IT teammates and third-party vendors.

- End users clearly understand solutions, next steps, and system changes.
- Application documentation is current, organized, and easy to follow.
- Updates and changes are tested thoroughly before release.

Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 4 years of technology experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and technology experience.

The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
