    Overview Small Arms Instructor (JXQN-6): Bowhead seeks a Small Arms Instructor to support the Weapons Systems Training Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. Responsibilities Essential functions will include: Demonstrate extensive experience in small arms instruction. Instructor must have strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to meet stringent Government qualification and performance requirements are essential for success. Instructors are permitted to no more than two (2) negative evaluations per year. Evaluations are reviewed by the Government within thirty (30) days, and any negative evaluations must be addressed and explained in weekly reports (CDRL A012) Should an instructor receive more than two (2) negative evaluations within a year, the Government reserves the right to refuse that instructor for continued performance under the contract. Qualifications Qualifications: Associates degree is required and at least five (5+) years of work experience. Must be a graduate of a recognized military instructor training school or an equivalent program approved by the Government. Demonstrable experience developing and delivering training programs Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
