The Sheriff's Department is recruiting for a Sheriff's Electronic Health Records Trainer* who is responsible for planning, coordinating, assessing, and delivering advanced level educational and training programs related to electronic health records systems (TechCare) to correctional healthcare staff. Essential duties include recommending, developing, and conducting training needs assessments; developing curriculum, lesson plans, EHR workflows, and training materials; developing and delivering training programs; and preparing and coordinating training schedules.

Summary of Benefits
Memoranda of Understanding (MOU)
Flexible schedules may be offered contingent upon satisfactory work performance and as business needs dictate. 9/80 schedules are a privilege and availability may vary depending on work assignment.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Background: Candidates must not have been convicted of a felony and, upon appointment, must successfully pass a thorough background investigation, including a fingerprint check and polygraph.
Physical Requirements: Incumbents deliver in-person training on a regular basis which includes frequent and continuous walking and standing.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.
Sponsorship: Please note San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: Three (3) years full-time equivalent professional-level experience with primary responsibility utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a valid California Vocational Nurse license, a Certified Correctional Health Professional certification, five (5) or more years of clinical experience as an LVN within a correctional healthcare setting, and professional experience training staff in TechCare, CIPS, and JimsNet.
