This role serves as a brand ambassador for these facilities and includes day-to-day leadership and supervision of part-time recreation staff, overseeing tournament reservations, seasonal field allocations, hourly field rentals, and managing Sports Complex operations. Additionally, this position could include assisting with creative work, including promotional materials.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in:

Leading and developing staff-training teams, setting schedules, coaching performance, and writing evaluations.

Planning, organizing, and overseeing a wide range of recreation programs and activities.
•
Handling customer concerns with confidence and providing solutions that enhance the participant experience.
•
Facilitating staff meetings and
delivering training on program operations, safety, policies, and leadership skills.
•
Evaluating programs and services to ensure quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
•
Traveling to off-site program locations to monitor activities and support City-sponsored events.

Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $29.26/hour or $60,860.86/annually. - One year as a Recreation Leader II or comparable level of experience in recreation or a related field.
- Must have at least six months of Lead or Supervisory experience.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
Licensing, Certifications, and Other Requirements - Must possess, at time of application, and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations within the past 36 months prior to the start date. The Arizona Motor Vehicle Department requires that out-of-state driver's licenses must be surrendered within 10 days of relocating to the State of Arizona. Note: Graduated Driver’s Licenses are considered restricted
