    Job Summary

    Performs skilled mechanical work involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic parking meters and pay stations. Duties include line striping, painting, and sign installation in garages, lots, and streets; landscaping; core drilling; and assisting maintenance staff as needed. Responsibilities also include collecting street meter and pay station revenue. Work is performed under direct supervision and is reviewed during progress and upon completion for accuracy and results.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and one (1) year mechanical or electronic experience required, preferably in meter maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Polygraph examination required prior to employment. Completion of Duncan Meter Maintenance School desired .

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
