    A Water Planning: Management Analyst II job is available with the City of Fort Worth Strategic Operations Division, Water Planning and Asset Management Group. The group is responsible for planning water and sewer capacity across the entire system and managing the horizontal assets. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the analysis of various inquires and help to develop and manage processes to accommodate the workload in this rapidly growing City.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Two (2) years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, systems or methods, including experience in the functional area of assignment such as development analysis, research analysis or related experience
    • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in planning, urban design, engineering, architecture, public administration or a related field and four years of administrative management experience

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Two (2) years' experience working with a large Water Department, preferably in supporting growth and development activities

    The Management Analyst II job responsibilities include:
    • Prioritize and assign work related to water and sewer study reviews for development
    • Identify and implement process and procedural changes for water and sewer related development issues
    • Provide variety of analysis related to basic capacity assessments for water and sewer pipelines and pro rata fees
    • Review incoming and outgoing assignment for completeness and compatibility to related water studies, development agreements, and wholesale agreements
    • Manage semi-annual Impact Fee updates
    • Review annexation requests for financial impact and analyze how the City could provide water and sewer service
    • Assist in Plat and IPRC reviews to ensure compliance with approved water and sewer studies
    • Provide high level water and sewer master plan updates within the GIS system. Analyze potential changes for feasibility and discuss with engineering team as needed

    Benefits That Are Well Worth It

    Medical Program

    The City offers two plan options through Meritain Health, an Aetna company.

    The Health Center Plan – Offers employees and their family’s

Employees can visit any one of the three City of Fort Worth Employee Health Centers and receive guaranteed same or next day appointments for sick visits. Also, services are available at any one of the five satellite locations that serves employees across the city.

    The Consumer Choice Plan – Is offered to employees at no cost or low monthly premiums to cover eligible dependents and provides the financial benefits of a Health Savings Account (HSA).

    • Preventative services are covered at 100% on both plans.
    • Prescription Drug coverage including mail order pharmacy are also included.

    Vacation

    Eligible for 3 weeks of vacation: After successful completion of probationary period (usually
    6 months), employees may take time off for rest, relaxation, vacation, illness, religious observances, and personal business.

    Holidays

    Available on the first day of employment, the city provides employees with paid holidays, including two personal holidays.

    Wellness Program

    The city’s Healthy Challenge Wellness Program rewards all full-time, benefit-eligible employees on the city’s health insurance. The Healthy Challenge Program utilizes a points system. Participants may earn points throughout the year (Jan. 1-Dec. 15) for completing specific program activities and participants can redeem points at the end of the year for a cash reward. By participating, individuals can earn $150, $200 or $250 by accumulating program points.
