Location: Burke, TX (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $25.00/hour

Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an organized, customer-focused Dispatcher for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our valued clients in Burke, TX. This fully onsite position is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating schedules, communicating with field technicians, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The Dispatcher serves as the central point of communication between customers, technicians, and operations to ensure appointments are scheduled efficiently, resources are utilized effectively, and service expectations are consistently exceeded.

Position Summary

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating technician schedules, assigning service calls, maintaining communication between customers and field personnel, and ensuring daily operations run efficiently. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Essential Responsibilities

Dispatch technicians to service calls while optimizing daily schedules and productivity.

Prioritize service requests based on customer needs and operational priorities.

Coordinate and maintain technician schedules, including after-hours and on-call coverage.

Schedule appointments, enter service requests, and debrief technicians upon job completion.

Maintain ongoing communication with field technicians via phone, mobile devices, and dispatch software.

Notify customers of scheduling updates or service delays and provide timely status updates.

Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the client's products and service offerings.

Perform administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the service department.

Resolve customer concerns professionally through effective communication and problem-solving.

Escalate service issues or customer concerns to leadership when appropriate.

Maintain accurate scheduling records, service documentation, and customer information.

Participate in company-sponsored training, safety programs, and other required meetings.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of dispatching, scheduling, or service coordination experience preferred.

Previous experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or another field service environment is highly preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Experience using dispatching, scheduling, CRM, or service management software preferred.

Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Geographic knowledge of the service area and map-reading/navigation skills preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong customer service and conflict resolution abilities.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience coordinating multiple field service technicians.

Experience working in a customer service or call center environment.

Familiarity with service scheduling or dispatch software.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Working Conditions

Fully onsite position located in Burke, TX.

Primarily office-based work with frequent use of computers, telephones, and dispatch software.

Ability to remain seated for extended periods throughout the workday.

Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or extended hours based on business needs.
