    Job Description

    Job Overview

    Under the general supervision of the Director, Student Financial Services, the Student Accounts Specialist is responsible for coordination of customer service and various processes related to on campus housing and meal plan charges on student accounts. Provide housing license agreement and related policy information. Provide meal plan policy information. Provide student account analysis, advisement, and refund policy and procedure information. Perform student account troubleshooting and account reconciliation. Perform housing and meal plan receivable collection activities. Serve as main point of contact for housing and meal plan charges and payment troubleshooting and analysis for Fiscal Services, Student Housing, and Dining Services departments. Provide back-up for general student account customer service needs.

    Housing Student Accounts Specialist (Accounting Technician III)

    This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

    Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule

    Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,570 per month

    CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,166 - $7,312 per month

    As of 10/1/2025, this position will move to a salary step structure. The CSU Classification salary range will be $4,570 - $6,658 per month.

    Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.

    This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.

    This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
